The farmer's dog, or Cujo as referred to by House, was a dog that lived on the farmer's farm. The dog only appears once in the show in the episode "Three Stories".

Personality

"Cujo" is shown to be a very violent, aggressive dog. He is very prone to biting and attacking people, even his own owner. As said by the farmer himself, the neighbors heavily disliked the dog, implying the dog has bit them before (or they simply don't like how aggressive and intimidating it is).

Despite his violent, aggressive behavior, the farmer still cared deeply for him, trying to hide the fact it bit him and worried for what would happen to him if he were to die, even when he was on the verge of dying.

Biography

Towards the end of the farmer's case, the farmer asked House what would happen to his dog after he dies (as both he and House were under the impression he would inevitably die.) House responds that maybe a neighbor could take him in, in which the farmer replies that they don't like him. House then suggests that the humane society could take him in, which the farmer says "No they won't." From this, House is able to realize that the farmer lied about not knowing what bit him.

It was revealed that "Cujo" had been the source of the bite on the farmer, giving him Necrotizing fasciitis in his leg. The farmer reveals that he hid the fact that his dog bit him because the dog would be euthanized by the humane society due to have been previously reported for biting someone else. Necrotizing fasciitis was confirmed after House's team managed to swab the dog's mouth. House tells the farmer that the good news is that he gets to live, but the bad news is that his dog has to die.

The dog is euthanized around when the farmer was getting his leg amputated, and was replaced with a new dog.
