Deoxyribonucleic Acid, or DNA, is the key chemical component of genetics and reproduction. Every humans DNA is unique, with the exception of identical twins, and every cell in the human body contains a full set of an individuals DNA. DNA is vital in the reproduction of individuals and the direction of growth and body functioning.

In Cane & Able, Clancy Green suffered from chimerism, having DNA from two different zygotes comingling in his body.

House has collected DNA to test paternity in the episodes Paternity and Birthmarks.

House also collected DNA from Thirteen in order to test her for Huntington's disease.
