Del Wilson was one of James Wilson's cancer patients in the Season 6 episode Wilson. He was portrayed by actor Willie C. Carpenter.
Wilson came to visit Del after one of his treatments. Del was recovering and Wilson went to leave, but realized Del hadn't even tried to brag about his grandchildren like he usually did. Wilson was worried Del was depressed and ordered some scans.
Sure enough, Del's scan showed another tumor, which was actually what caused his depressed state. Wilson told Del it was easily treated, but if they hadn't caught it is would have been very difficult to treat.
