Dionne is a character in Private Lives. She goes on a speed date with James Wilson. She is played by actress Annie Bravo.

Wilson is speed dating and is increasingly exasperated that his dates only want to talk about cancer when they find out he is an oncologist. Dionne explains to Wilson that someone she knew had cancer and that after 6 months of Chemotherapy they thought he would be alright. Presumably, the patient wasn't and he later died.
"After six months of chemo, we thought he was out of the woods."
