Disease is the medical term referring to a condition where there's a pathological change in the structure (anatomy) or function (physiology) of the body or mind. It's marked by subjective, or unmeasurable, and objective, or measurable, complaints. Diseases are usually broken into two major categories — acute and chronic — and then into more specific subsections that include such kinds as communicable, systemic, and hereditary.
