A fertility drug is any pharmaceutical used to assist in the development of follicles, or egg sites, in the ovaries. There are currently no medications that assist with the development of sperm in men.
Fertility medication generally affects the production of either gonadotropin or estrogen. The primary complications are over-stimulation of the ovaries and an increased chance of multiple births.
