Harry Joseph Lennix is an American character actor. On House, M.D., he portrayed jazz legend John Henry Giles, the patient in the episode DNR.
Lennix came to acting third-hand. Originally an excellent student and star athlete, he decided to try out for a high school play while waiting for baseball season to begin. From there, he majored in Acting and Directing at Northwestern University, eventually moving to Los Angeles.
Lennix has played in numerous important supporting roles during his career. He has worked with director Spike Lee in Mo' Better Blues and Love and Basketball. His longest lasting role was in Dollhouse as Boyd Langdon. However, perhaps his most notable role was as the tough Commander Lock in both The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions.
