John Scurti is an American character actor. On House, M.D., he made a cameo as Monroe, a clinic patient who was convinced he had developed Type II diabetes mellitus.
A graduate of the theatre program at Fordham University, Scurti worked on stage in New York City before breaking into television and film work in 1993, working largely in supporting and guest role. However, his second film was The Ref, where he met Denis Leary, who eventually cast him in his own series Rescue Me, where he played Kenny Shea in 93 episodes - his first regular acting job in television.
Look for Scurti as the famous general Ambrose Burnside in 2012's To Appomattox.
