Melanie Jayne Lynskey is a New Zealand born actress. In the United States, she is best known for her role as Rose, the neighbour with a crush on Charlie Harper on Two and a Half Men. However, Lynskey has a deep and impressive resume in her fourteen years in movies and television. On House, M.D., she portrays Natalie Tavares, the wife of Andres Tavares in Better Half.
Lynskey started her career at the age of 16 in Peter Jackson's Heavenly Creatures. The film was nominated for an Oscar and swept the New Zealand film awards, including winning Lynskey the Best Actress award. She took a few years off to study and move to Los Angeles and has had featured roles in Ever After: A Cinderella Story, But I'm a Cheerleader, The Cherry Orchard, Coyote Ugly, Rose Red, Abandon, Sweet Home Alabama, Shattered Glass, Say Uncle, Park, Flag of our Fathers, Drive, Comanche Moon, The L Word, Away We Go, Up in the Air, The Informant!, Leaves of Grass and Win Win. She currently provides voice work in the animated series The Life & Times of Tim. In addition to her work on House, M.D., she is scheduled to appear in five other productions in 2012.
