Nestor Carbonell is an American actor of Cuban descent. He has been a regular on a number of different television series during his seventeen year career. On House, M.D., he portrayed Jeffrey Reilich, the father of patient Gabriel Reilich in the Season 1 episode Cursed.
Carbonell started his career with an appearance on Law and Order in 1994. The following year, he was a regular on the short lived series Muscle. However, in 1996, he had more luck and landed on Brooke Shields' sitcom Suddenly Susan as Luis Rivera for a run of 93 episodes. After that, he starred in the movie Jack The Dog as the title character and had a short but memorable run as the character Bat-Manuel in the live action version of The Tick. After a short run as Frank Duque on Cane, he landed on the hit series Lost as Richard Alpert. He is also well known for his supporting role as Mayor Anthony Garcia in The Dark Knight and its follow-up The Dark Knight Rises.
