Simon was a teenager who got his girlfriend pregnant in the episode Joy to the World. His girlfriend fainted at a Christmas Show put on by their school. He is the biological father of Rachel Cuddy.

Earlier life[]
He is about seventeen to eighteen years old and attended the same school (Robert Payne Academy) as Natalie Soellner. He has an older brother whose ID he used to buy alcohol. He would then sell this to his classmates, including a few bottles of vodka to Natalie each week.
"Look, don’t tell anyone, all right? I had my brother’s ID and I kinda supplied people. I used to get her a few bottles of vodka each week!"
He also sold drugs and kept them in his locker at school.
Simon and Natalie used to be friends, however they grew apart as other students started to make fun of Natalie. For a while, Simon and Natalie were boyfriend and girlfriend but they didn't tell anyone. When Natalie became pregnant, she didn't tell Simon and kept it a secret from everyone.
She managed to hide the pregnancy by wearing baggy clothes. When the baby was born Natalie abandoned it, thinking it was dead. In fact, it survived and was being looked after by squatters.
Joy to the World[]
After Natalie Soellner was admitted to hospital, Simon and several his classmates visited Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital and spoke with Chase and Kutner who asked them what they gave to Natalie. They confessed to giving her magic mushrooms and that they were kept in Simon's locker.
Kutner and Taub then go to the school and searched Simon's locker.
Simon later visited Natalie by himself and gave her homework to do. When questioned by Taub and Kutner, he tells them that he used to be friends with Natalie and that he sold her alcohol.
Simon is later told by Kutner that Natalie had given birth and that the baby was his. He is also told that Natalie will soon die.
When Natalie Soellner passed away, neither Simon's parents or Mrs. Soellner and Mr. Soellner wanted to keep the baby (Rachel Cuddy) as it would be a too painful reminder of Natalie and everything that had happened.
Lisa Cuddy fostered and later adopted the baby.
It is unknown whether Simon or his family got in touch with or met Rachel Cuddy at a later date.
